Tracy Templeton earned her MFA from the University of Alberta and her BFA from the University of Regina. In 2013, she became the Area Coordinator of Printmaking at Indiana University. Previously, she was a full professor at Southern Oregon University. Her work has been widely exhibited across the United States, Canada, and throughout the world, including more than 150 exhibitions.

She has lectured extensively on her technique and artwork at such institutions as Tokyo University of the Arts; Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art; Instituto Superior de Arte Santa Ana, Buenos Aires, Argentina; and the Warsaw Academy of Art in Poland. Her prints appear in more than forty different collections worldwide, and her work has been published in more than one hundred different books, magazines, catalogs, and journals, including Grapheion: The European Review of Modern Prints, Book, and Paper Art, and a feature profile in UK-based Printmaking Today.
