The title of the work I have produced is very telling: Migrating Nature. The combination of the words “migrating” and “nature” accurately describes how, as a changing nature forces migrants to migrate, the climate crisis will only intensify this migratory phenomenon.

“We were with them and we were moving forward among the hordes of migrants, necks bowed under the weight of determination and reminiscence, heads and eye-sockets emerging out of the same clay, fugitives transiting through the age-old crossing to an as yet unknown river of forgetfulness.”

- Gaston Miron and Marie-Andrée Beaudet, 1996
